Resuscitation and Monitoring

If the circulation should ever fail, one must act quickly. By administering breaths and performing cardiac massage, the patient here quickly receives the urgently needed resuscitation measures. In the event of cardiac arrest, a heart attack, or life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias, the defibrillator is used here by paramedics and in hospitals. This is usually ready for use in a few seconds and increases the probability of survival to 70 percent. But also the pulse oximeter is used in the context of rescue or emergency medical services and other critical situations. We at Medax24 offer emergency physicians, paramedics as well as clinics an extensive product range. In our online store, you will therefore find high-quality products from well-known manufacturers such as medical Econet, Rossmax or Creative Medical. Here you can easily and inexpensively buy a medical pulse oximeter or a defibrillator.
ME PAD AED-Trainer incl. bag and remote control
Course participants can work independently with the ME PAD Trainer without you, as the instructor, having to constantly intervene in the AED trainer’s sequence.

The new ME PAD Trainer, with its updated software, enables exactly this method of first-aid training. Without the use of any additional aids, the trainer guides participants safely through resuscitation, just as a real AED would.

You do not need a simulator or a resuscitation manikin that simulates human vital parameters. The trainer takes over guidance fully automatically. It gives participants enough time to place the electrodes and then immediately starts a preset scenario including shock delivery and CPR instructions.

PHILIPS Heartstart FRX Child key
This paediatric key is the secret that makes the Philips HeartStart FRx AED so cost-effective. Other defibrillators use paediatric electrodes for children; just like adult electrodes, these must also be replaced regularly. The Philips HeartStart FRx AED uses a “key”; when it is inserted into the device, the defibrillator is suitable for children. The key can be used again and again without needing to be replaced. Compare this with the cost of replacing paediatric electrodes on other AEDs and you will see the savings.

SHELF LIFE OF THE HS1 PAEDIATRIC ELECTRODES
Due to the conductive gel layer, electrodes have an expiry date. After this date, the electrodes must no longer be used, as the gel layer can dry out and the conductivity decreases as a result. The electrodes are protected from drying out by a vacuum-sealed foil; however, this foil must not be damaged. The electrode cartridge cover provides additional protection. The HeartStart HS1 paediatric electrodes have a shelf life of approx. 2 years. The exact expiry date is shown on the front of the packaging.

USE IN CHILDREN:
These electrodes are specifically designed for smaller children’s bodies. During paediatric resuscitation, one electrode is placed on the chest and the other on the back.

PHILIPS Heartstart HS1 in Carrying bag
Philips HeartStart HS1 is designed for use by anyone

Philips is a world-leading manufacturer of portable defibrillators for use in airports, aircraft, businesses, public areas and private homes. The Philips HeartStart Home Defibrillator was developed for use by anyone, at any time and in any place, and can be used by virtually anyone in a life-saving situation when every second counts. This award-winning defibrillator has been rated No. 1 for ease of use.

The HS1 defibrillator comes pre-installed in its own carry case, with the battery and electrode pads already connected to the device. Simply pull up the handle on the front of the AED to switch it on, remove the electrode pads and begin defibrillation. Calm, clear voice prompts guide the rescuer through the defibrillation process. In addition, the Philips HeartStart features integrated CPR coaching that guides the rescuer through the correct CPR technique.

Philips SMART Biphasic therapy uses a unique combination of high current – to maximise effectiveness – and a low energy dose – to minimise side effects that can be harmful to a weakened heart. This AED undergoes a 120-point test before it leaves the factory and performs daily self-tests throughout its service life. Overall, the defibrillator carries out more than 80 different self-tests, checking not only the device itself but also the batteries and electrodes.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is crucial to increase the patient’s chances of survival; therefore, delivering a shock quickly after chest compressions is essential. The Quick Shock feature of this defibrillator reduces the time between the “stand clear” prompt and shock delivery. The SMART Pads detect when they have been removed from the cartridge and applied to the patient. This helps the AED determine exactly where the helper is in the response process, so it can continue to provide step-by-step instructions.

Key features:

IP21 rating
Custom Philips carry case
SMART Biphasic technology
SMART ECG analysis technology
The self-test function ensures that the defibrillator is always ready for use
Clear visual and audible instructions that guide the rescuer through both defibrillation and resuscitation

PHYSIO-CONTROL Lifepak CR2 Defibrillator with WIFI (Fully automatic) German
The Physio Control Lifepak CR2 is innovative in many ways. Thanks to its simple 2-step plan, this AED is easy to use, and the new central LIFELINK software ensures the device is always ready for use by continuously checking the defibrillator’s status. The CR2 has a modern design with a striking white colour.

Can be operated by anyone
The device starts immediately when the lid is opened. The numbers 1–2 show at a glance which actions need to be taken. This makes it clear to untrained responders where to start. The QUIK-STEP electrodes become visible after the foil (No. 2) is removed. Images on the electrodes indicate where they should be placed on the casualty. You can start chest compressions immediately once the electrode pads have been applied.

Support during resuscitation
The rescuer is supported by spoken instructions and a metronome. The metronome indicates the correct rate for chest compressions. For use in noisy environments, Clearvoice technology ensures the volume of the instructions is adjusted automatically.

If you may need to use your defibrillator on both adults and children, you can switch the defibrillator to paediatric mode by pressing the dedicated child button. In this child mode, the defibrillator delivers a lower shock output when only adult electrode pads are used. The joule level is set to a level that is better suited to a smaller body.

Physio Control focuses on innovation
The CR2 uses the innovative “cprINSIGHT analysis technology”. This technology makes it possible to continue chest compressions while the defibrillator analyses the heart rhythm. A pause is therefore no longer required, which continuously stimulates circulation and increases the chances of survival.

According to ERC guidelines, survival rates can be improved by up to 70% when CPR is delivered with minimal interruptions.

International environments
This defibrillator can be supplied with two preset languages. You can switch between these languages at any time during a resuscitation. The Lifepak CR2 is therefore perfect for placement in an international environment. In addition, with an IP rating of 55, this device can withstand impact. The AED has high resistance to dust and water, so it can, for example, be installed in a dedicated outdoor cabinet or in a factory.

WiFi connection
The status of the Physio Control Lifepak CR2 is continuously monitored by the so-called “LIFELINK Central AED Program Manager”. For example, if the battery is low or the AED is not in its usual location, you will receive a notification when your CR2 is connected to the Wi-Fi network. This enables an immediate response to unforeseen situations, ensuring the AED is always ready for use.

The integrated Wi-Fi function also ensures that professional care providers connected to Physio Control’s LIFENET system are informed about the status of an incident. For example, in an emergency the AED transmits ECG data to this system. The necessary information can then also be easily forwarded to connected emergency services.

In short, are you looking for an innovative AED that can be operated by anyone? Then the Physio Control Lifepak CR2 is a good solution.
