Life-size spine skeleton model
This spine model is a cast taken from a real human spine and therefore shows the structures of the spine in particularly true-to-detail form. A herniated disc can be seen in the lumbar region; the femoral heads are mounted to move. The spine model can be suspended freely on a metal frame. The metal stand is included.

Spine Model with Pelvis
The spine model with pelvis is a life-size representation of a human spine with the adjacent pelvis. The focus of the spine model is on the physiological depiction of all vertebrae, the spinal nerves, the spinal cord and the so-called vertebral artery (arteria vertebralis). The spine model is ideal for use during patient consultations, as a vertebral injury and a slipped disc can be demonstrated on the skeletal model. The total height of the spine model is approx. 74 cm; it is supplied mounted on a metal stand.

Nikki, the nursing mannequin with auscultation, offers 11 anterior and 4 posterior auscultation sites with 42 high-quality sounds from Cardionics. With the P93 PRO female catheterisation trainer, female bladder catheterisations can be realistically demonstrated, practised and evaluated either via the urethra (transurethral) or through the abdominal wall (suprapubic). The genital insert is fitted into an anatomically correct lower abdomen model using magnetic connections. The material is soft and flexible: the labia are movable and can be separated. This allows learners to practise all necessary steps (e.g. disinfection) for catheterisation. The material provides a highly realistic feel when inserting and removing the catheter into/from the bladder, with realistic resistance and insertion depths.

Direct learning effect:
When the catheter is positioned correctly, fluid flows out just as it does with a real patient. In addition, the catheter position can be checked through the transparent bladder. The abdominal wall on the PRO version can be removed so that the process during urethral catheterisation can be better visualised.

Changing and care of a suprapubic bladder catheter:
If catheterisation via the urethra is no longer possible, a suprapubic catheter must be placed. The suprapubic catheter is usually inserted by a doctor through the abdominal wall into the filled urinary bladder and fixed to the abdominal wall. With the PRO version, suprapubic catheter changes and aftercare can be practised. Aftercare includes changing the dressing, cleaning the catheter and disinfecting the wound.

Note:
For catheterisation, we recommend using catheters with only one or 2 opposite drainage eyes. Both silicone and PVC catheters can be used.
We recommend the following catheters:
Urethral constriction “Open” = 16 CH catheter or 14 CH Foley catheter
Urethral constriction “Partial constriction” = 14 CH catheter or 12 CH Foley catheter
Catheters with a curved tip should not be used!

Tip:
In accordance with the guidelines for correct catheterisation, even in simulation a small amount of lubricating gel (not included in the scope of delivery) should be introduced into the urethra or into the puncture site on the abdominal wall to ensure smooth insertion of the catheter. Alternatively, the lubricating gel can also be applied to the tip of the catheter.

With the P93 PRO male catheterisation trainer, male bladder catheterisation can be realistically demonstrated, practised and evaluated either via the urethra (transurethral) or through the abdominal wall (suprapubic). The genital insert is fitted into an anatomically correct lower-torso model using magnetic connections. The material is soft and flexible: the foreskin is movable and the penis can be stretched. This allows the learner to practise all necessary steps (e.g. disinfection) for catheterisation. The material provides a lifelike feel when inserting and removing the catheter into/from the bladder, with realistic resistance and insertion depths.

Different levels of difficulty:
With the male insert, three different levels of urethral narrowing can be practised. At the tightest setting, the learner will find that urethral catheterisation is no longer possible and that a suprapubic catheter must be placed.

Immediate learning effect:
When the catheter is correctly positioned, liquid flows out, just as with a real patient. In addition, the position of the catheter can be checked via the transparent bladder. The abdominal wall on the PRO version can be removed so that the process during urethral catheterisation can be better visualised.
