PRIMEDIC HeartSave Y AED Defibrillator DE/EN
The HeartSave Y is the ideal AED for any first aider and lay user. Short, concise voice prompts guide you safely throughout the entire cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) process, supported by a metronome. The device independently decides whether a life-saving shock is required. A shock is only enabled by the device when it is truly necessary. This ensures that, as the user, you can always be confident that no shock can be triggered accidentally.

In a paediatric emergency, you do not need special paediatric electrodes, as the HeartSave Y switches to paediatric mode at the press of a button.

Using the language selection button, the voice prompts can be switched during operation between up to four languages. In areas with users of various nationalities – industry, airports, public institutions – this increases the likelihood that the HeartSave Y can be clearly understood and used correctly.

To ensure it is always available safely and reliably, the HeartSave Y performs an extensive self-test every day. This checks the technical condition of the AED, the remaining battery capacity and the expiry date of the electrodes. Readiness is indicated by a clearly visible and intuitively understandable “OK” on the device.

The HeartSave Y is a semi-automatic defibrillator. As soon as the AED detects a shockable heart rhythm in the patient, the shock is delivered by the first aider at the press of a button.

CARDIO First Angel - the lifesaver for heart attacks
In an emergency, an untrained first aider can use it immediately as a life-saving measure without risk.
Every year there are around 700,000 heart attacks in Europe, and approx. 17 million worldwide. When the heart stops beating, the brain is no longer supplied with oxygen and suffers irreversible damage. Using Cardio First Angel can prevent this.

Ideal usability
Purely mechanical – no electricity or battery – Cardio First Angel is ready for use at any time. A special plastic provides a soft contact surface and absorbs sweat.

Ideal positioning
Thanks to the special shape of Cardio First Angel, correct positioning on the patient’s chest is guaranteed – ensuring chest compressions work exactly where they are needed. Use is straightforward and explained with internationally understandable pictograms.

Ideal force required
A special spring signals the optimum pressure for chest compressions of 41 kg with a loud click. This clicking can also be heard during the subsequent release. This gives the first aider a tempo guide to achieve the required rate of approx. 100 compressions.

Technical data
Dimensions (L x W x H): 20 x 13 x 6 cm

Weight: 130 g

In the event of a heart attack, valuable minutes are far too often lost in which either no resuscitation attempts are made or they are performed incorrectly until the emergency doctor finally arrives. This is exactly where Cardio First Angel comes in. It enables even an untrained person to perform chest compressions quickly and efficiently.

Many first aiders cannot find the right spot for chest compressions without support. With Cardio First Angel, however, compressions are automatically performed exactly where they are most effective. A positioning aid ensures this. The device is placed in the centre of the chest, and a diagram on the surface shows how the hand must be positioned.

But how hard should you press? Cardio First Angel provides reassurance here too. When sufficient force is applied, the loud click of a special spring can be heard and felt. When the pressure is released, another click makes it clear that you must now build up pressure again. Alternating between the two clicking sounds helps the rescuer find exactly the right rhythm. In this way, Cardio First Angel can bridge the time until the emergency doctor arrives.

If Cardio First Angel were available everywhere within one to three minutes, many lives could be saved and patients protected from long-term damage. With pack dimensions of only 20 x 13 cm and a weight of just 130 grams, Cardio First Angel fits into almost any bag and is immediately to hand in an emergency. This ensures the best possible care in the crucial first minutes after cardiac arrest. Being purely mechanical, it provides the necessary pressure, the most effective frequency and the correct positioning for chest compressions.
