During docking, the tails of newborn piglets are cauterised and the blood vessels are sealed at the same time. Immediate sealing of the vessels prevents pathogens from entering. As a rule, the tails are left approx. 2–3 cm long. The aim of docking is to prevent cannibalism among pigs, which can be triggered by long tails during the rearing and fattening phase.

Application is that easy: Remove the cap from the cartridge and attach the mixing nozzle. Squeeze out a small amount of adhesive. This is necessary to ensure the two components mix optimally. Now apply a bead of adhesive onto the block. Quickly place the block onto the previously prepared, clean and dry healthy hoof. After approx. 30 seconds the adhesive has cured; after approx. 2–3 minutes the hoof can bear weight again.
