The liver is the central organ of the entire metabolism. It is closely linked to glucose, fat and protein metabolism. Nutrients absorbed from the intestine into the blood reach the liver via the portal vein and are metabolised there; the end products are then either released into the blood or removed from the blood. The liver therefore has a particular need for a wide range of micronutrients.

Cats have certain specific characteristics with regard to their liver metabolism. For example, cats have a significantly higher protein requirement (both in terms of quantity and quality), as they cannot reduce their protein synthesis due to ongoing transaminase activity. Taurine is particularly important because cats can conjugate bile acids exclusively with taurine.

Indestofin consists of a balanced combination of fennel, linseed, caraway and star anise oils, which complement each other excellently in their area of action thanks to their individual ingredients.

These gently extracted oils are generally known for their beneficial properties in cases of cramps, tension and flatulence in the gastrointestinal tract.
