Oldie Muesli should be used for senior horses. Feeding Oldie optimally meets the requirements of the older horse. Acid Protect® neutralises and buffers excess stomach acid. It also helps rebuild the gastric mucosa and protects it against renewed irritation.

Performance horses often suffer from gastric ulcers. This can have various causes, e.g. feeding breaks of more than 6 hours, concentrate-rich and low-roughage rations, stabling, stress or training-related increases in gastric pressure.

Horses often react with fluctuating appetite, changes in behaviour or a dull coat, and in severe cases even colic. Acid Protect® is an alternative to support horses with gastric hyperacidity. The mineral compounds contained in Acid Protect®, such as magnesium oxide and dicalcium phosphate, have a high acid-neutralising potential. The psyllium husk promotes intestinal motility. Marshmallow releases a mucilaginous layer during digestion, which coats the horse’s intestinal wall. Antioxidants generally promote regenerative processes and support the immune system. Canicox®-HD is a complementary feed for dogs to support the metabolism of heavily stressed joints. The product was specifically developed for dogs that are exposed to above-average strain or have age-related signs of joint wear. The product contains GAGs (glucosamine sulphate, chondroitin sulphate, hyaluronic acid) in a form that is optimally utilisable for dogs to support the physiological synthesis of well-lubricating synovial fluid and the function of the joint capsule.

Canicox®-HD is a complementary feed for dogs to support the metabolism of joints that are subjected to particularly heavy strain. What does the combination of structural and functional elements include?
To counteract joint wear, the body needs different groups of nutrients; structural and functional substances are combined here.

Structural:
As building blocks of joint metabolism, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) provide molecules to regenerate the lubricants in synovial fluid and thus promote nourishment of the articular cartilage. These include, on the one hand, small glucosamine molecules that form the framework and, on the other hand, high-molecular-weight GAGs (e.g. chondroitin), which are converted into usable building blocks and in the process additionally release functional substances.

For this balanced GAG supply, the ratio of large to small molecules is also important for the formulation, as contained in Canidex® (ratio of high-molecular-weight to low-molecular-weight GAGs = 3:1). Sulphur is another structural building block and is used here in an organic, bioavailable form.

Functional:
Omega fatty acids play an essential role in supporting joint metabolism and have therefore become standard in joint-specific feeds. Canidex® also contains the biologically optimal ratio of omega fatty acids, with an omega-3 to omega-6 ratio of 4:1.

An interesting function also results from the breakdown of large GAG molecules (e.g. chondroitin): so-called “cytokines” are released, whose task is intercellular communication during synthesis processes. Plants and their extracts, such as willow bark, devil’s claw, ginger, frankincense and wintergreen oil, complete this formulation.

Both the presence of all required nutrients and the integrity of the joint capsule are prerequisites for rapid regeneration.
