Pet Food

As different as pets are, their needs are also individual – this of course also applies to the respective feed. Every animal has a different need for nutrients. Especially in situations with increased stress, strong physical strain or after surgeries, there is a particularly high demand for vitamins, trace elements and minerals. To meet this need, we have made a diverse selection of high-quality feed for our Meddax24 online store. In addition to snacks and treats, you will find here especially feed for substitution therapies to cure diseases of the digestive system, as well as reward and employment feed for your favorite. In addition, we offer a huge selection of the most diverse nutritional supplements for the well-being of your pet.
VALETUMED Prebiotic Glykomin Comp., 750 g
Prebiotic Glykomin Comp. contains a specially balanced herbal blend of rosehip, nettle and chamomile, as well as a natural high-dose extract of New Zealand green-lipped mussel. With its high vitamin C content, native glycosaminoglycans (incl. hyaluronic acid), omega-3 fatty acids and caffeic acid, this complementary feed can help support increased flexibility and resilience of the connective tissue. Glycosaminoglycans are a main component of connective tissue, an essential part of synovial fluid and important for supplying the articular cartilage.

Supplementation with Prebiotic Glykomin Comp. supports the body’s supply of glycosaminoglycans, thereby strengthening connective tissue, synovial fluid and articular cartilage.

Practical tip: Due to the characteristic mussel taste, start by feeding smaller portions. To achieve an optimal effect, the feeding period should be at least 2–4 weeks. Feeding over a longer period or year-round is possible without any problems and improves the results.

Directions for use: In case of high feeding requirement, feed 5 g per 100 kg body weight daily with the concentrate feed (large horses 25 g daily; foals, young horses and ponies 12 g daily). For preventive use, 2 g per 100 kg body weight daily (large horses 12 g daily; foals, young horses, ponies 6 g daily). If required, 2–4 times the amount can be given during the first 10 days. Max. 4-fold amount per day. Due to the characteristic mussel taste, start by feeding small portions. Available only through authorised veterinarians and after their detailed feeding consultation.

Prebiotic Intestinol contains a balanced combination of digestion-active ingredients and herbs that can support defecation, feed intake and the restoration of physiological intestinal activity in the case of diet-related health disorders of the digestive tract.

Practical tip: To achieve an optimum effect, it should be administered for at least four weeks. In horses that permanently suffer from diet-related health disorders of the digestive tract, Prebiotic Intestinol can also be administered preventively over a longer period without any problems.

Stress reduction through the harmonising tryptophan can, as a basis, promote an unimpaired blood circulation of the digestive organs.

VALETUMED Prebiotic Procutis Comp., 2500 g
Procutis Comp., with its selected active ingredients, is an ideal companion and a biologically valuable biotin concentrate for use in diet-related health disorders of skin metabolism. Horses in particular that suffer from hypersensitivity to insect bites, nodules in the saddle area, mud fever, allergic itching or impaired wound healing require nutrients that have a stabilising effect on the skin. Procutis Comp. can support hoof growth and strength and promote the suppleness of skin and coat in cases of feeding-related deficiencies in biotin and sulphur metabolism.

Practical tip: Preventive feeding should begin 2–3 weeks before the expected onset of the first skin changes and be maintained throughout the entire critical period. Administration can be over a longer period, but for no longer than 8 weeks at a time, and depending on the severity of the changes either daily or every other day. If the signs are still present after the 8-week administration, observe a 2-week feeding break and repeat the 8-week feeding period. Especially when supporting hoof horn quality, interval feeding (8 weeks administration, 2 weeks break) should be maintained for at least 8 months.

Directions for use: Large horses (approx. 500 kg live weight) 50 g daily; foals, young horses and ponies 25 g daily; mix into the feed. This complementary feed must not be given during pregnancy. Available only via authorised veterinarians and after their detailed feeding consultation.

VALETUMED Prebiotic Progaster, 2000 g
Gastric ulcers occur in horses far more frequently than previously assumed. To effectively support normal stomach function, many factors must be taken into account in feeding.

Due to its composition of various herbs, Prebiotic Progaster can promote blood circulation, and the high proportion of microcrystalline cellulose can bind acid optimally. This supports the gastric mucosa. The tryptophan it contains can help the horse optimise how it copes with stress.

Thanks to its composition, Prebiotic Progaster can also be used during the competition season.

Directions for use: Large horses (approx. 500 kg live weight) 50 g twice daily, young horses and ponies 25 g twice daily, foals 10 g twice daily. Stir into lukewarm water and administer with the concentrate feed in the morning and evening. For long-term use, the dosage can be halved. Available only from authorised veterinarians and following their detailed feeding consultation.

VALETUMED Prebiotic TopinVet
Prebiotic TopinVet consists of a pure, highly effective fermented Jerusalem artichoke juice concentrate. The naturally contained inulin serves as a selective nutritional basis for beneficial intestinal bacteria in the large intestine, which is why blood sugar levels are hardly affected. Regular intake of inulin promotes the presence of bifidobacteria, which, among other things, stimulate the immune system and aid digestion. Prebiotic TopinVet is a potent intestinal regulator; it enhances vitality and thus helps to positively influence daily weight gains.

Directions for use: Calf: 20 ml twice daily for administration after discontinuation of colostrum, after weaning from milk feeding and in cases of feeding-related digestive disorders for three days. Stir into the milk preparation together with the milk replacer or milk. Cattle: 80 ml once daily for 3 days, to be administered with the concentrate feed. Pig: With liquid feed, 7 ml per kg of feed for 2 weeks (approx. 100 ml per piglet) after weaning or at the start of fattening after housing. At the onset of intestinal irregularities, administer twice daily. Poultry: At the start of fattening after housing. To be administered with feed or water. Duration and dosage are determined by the veterinarian’s prescription. Can only be obtained through authorised veterinarians and after their detailed feeding consultation.

VALETUMED SangroXX
Sangro XX is a combination of various plant extracts that can help to soften and restore suppleness to hardened areas of skin. The gel is not only an effective and natural alternative for supporting the healing process in the treatment of equine sarcoids through its skin-care properties. Warts – often the first signs of equine sarcoids – can also be treated.

Practical tip: The first signs of an equine sarcoid are usually skin changes that often appear in the form of small warts or as clearly defined circular, hairless and scaly patches. The warts may be raised above the skin, but can also lie under the skin covered by hair. Affected patients can be found among horses of all ages and breeds. In most cases, the sarcoid is only a cosmetic problem, but if located unfavourably (saddle area) it can also make the horse unrideable. A sarcoid can grow rapidly and reach the size of a fist. It is therefore recommended to begin treatment as soon as the first signs of an equine sarcoid appear.

Directions for use: Apply to the affected areas of skin 2–3 times daily and carefully remove dead tissue gradually. Do not use on open wounds. For external use only.

Composition: Macleaya cordata extract, herbal extract, aloe vera extract, plant stem cell extracts, beta glucan, biotin, glycerine, propanediol, micro silver.

Notes: Store in a hygienic manner in a cool, dry place. Protect from sunlight. No liability in the event of improper storage.
