An effective disinfectant is indispensable for the prevention of disease and infection transmission by bacteria and viruses. However, there are different types of disinfection. The disinfectant will be distinguished according to the area of application. For example, there are the surface disinfectant, hand disinfectant, skin disinfectant, instrument disinfectant and disinfectant detergent. In addition, besides the appropriate disinfectant, the correct application in terms of exposure time and dosage is also crucial. BODE Sterillium Virugard Disinfectant
Application:
For hygienic and surgical hand disinfection by rubbing in. Especially for all working areas with an increased risk of infection (infectious disease wards, intensive care units, dialysis departments), accident and emergency wards, outpatient clinics, laboratories.
Sterillium® Virugard is the first alcohol-based hand disinfectant that has been tested and recognised for the prevention of viral diseases (activity spectrum B).

Characteristics:

Mandatory information:

Sterillium Virugard: Active substance: ethanol.

Composition: 100 g solution contain: Active substance: ethanol 99% 95.0 g. Other ingredients: butan-2-one, glycerol, tetradecan-1-ol, benzine.

Indications: Hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.

Contraindications: Do not use on mucous membranes. Do not use in the immediate vicinity of the eyes or on open wounds. Hypersensitivity to ingredients.

Side effects: Mild, diffuse skin irritation or allergic reactions may occur rarely. In such cases, it is recommended to intensify general skin care.

Warnings: Keep away from open flames. Do not use near sources of ignition. Close bottle after use. Flash point according to DIN 51755: 0 °C. Highly flammable. Avoid electrostatic charging. Do not touch anything with hands wet with alcohol. After spillage of the disinfectant, the following measures must be taken: immediate absorption of the liquid, dilution with plenty of water, ventilating the room and eliminating sources of ignition. Do not smoke. Any transfer into another container may only be carried out under aseptic conditions (laminar flow cabinet).

MAIMED MyClean HB Hand disinfection biocide
MyClean HB biocidal hand disinfectant from MAIMED is an alcohol-based hand disinfectant formulated with ethanol. It is ideally suited for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection. It is particularly skin-friendly and well tolerated, as no preservatives, colourants or fragrances are used in its manufacture. In addition, it has a re-fatting effect. This hand disinfectant is used mainly in the medical sector, but increasingly also in private households and the food sector. It achieves full efficacy against viruses such as HBV/HIV, BVDV (HCV), vaccinia, rota, adeno and noroviruses, MRSA, as well as bacteria and fungi in just 30 seconds. It is virucidal, fungicidal, tuberculocidal and bactericidal in accordance with EN 14476. Application:

Mandatory information:

Sterillium med: Active substance: ethanol.

Composition: 100 g of solution contain: Active substance: ethanol 99% 85.0 g, Other ingredients: butan-2-one, 1-propanol (Ph. Eur.), tetradecan-1-ol, glycerol 85%, purified water. Indications: For hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.

Contraindications: Do not use in the immediate vicinity of the eyes or on open wounds. Note: If the solution comes into contact with the eyes, rinse the open eyes with running water for several minutes. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to the active substance or any of the other ingredients.

Side effects: Occasionally, slight dryness or irritation of the skin may occur. In such cases, it is recommended to intensify general skin care. Allergic reactions are rare.

Warnings: For external use only. Due to the alcohol content, frequent use of the medicinal product on the skin may cause irritation or inflammation. Do not bring into contact with open flames. Keep away from sources of ignition – do not smoke. Flash point according to DIN 51755: approx. 16 °C, highly flammable. When used as intended, no fire or explosion hazards are to be expected. After spillage of the disinfectant, the following measures must be taken: immediately absorb the liquid, dilute with plenty of water, ventilate the room and eliminate sources of ignition. In the event of fire, extinguish with water, dry powder, foam or CO2. Any transfer must only be carried out under aseptic conditions (sterile bench).
