The ready-to-use disinfectant Meliseptol Foam pure from B.BRAUN is characterised by its fast, propellant-free and particularly comprehensive efficacy. The foam is ideal for medical devices and small surfaces.

The foam has a broad spectrum of activity: bacteria (incl. MRSA, TbB) and fungi; it is limited virucidal (incl. HBV, HCV, HIV) and effective against rota, polyoma, noro and avian influenza viruses. The disinfectant foam is characterised by very good material compatibility, including with alcohol-sensitive materials (e.g. plastic surfaces of medical devices, acrylic glass, ultrasound probes, examination couches). Indications: For repeated, time-limited supportive antiseptic treatment of wounds.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the medicinally active ingredients or any of the other ingredients. octenisept® Wound Disinfectant should not be used for irrigation in the abdominal cavity (e.g. intraoperatively) or the urinary bladder, and must not be used on the eardrum.

Side effects: As a subjective symptom, a temporary burning sensation may occur in rare cases. In isolated cases, contact-allergic reactions such as temporary redness at the treated area are possible. If you notice side effects other than those described here, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings and precautions for use: To prevent possible tissue damage, the product must not be introduced into tissue under pressure or injected. In wound cavities, drainage must be ensured at all times (e.g. drain, wick). Do not swallow octenisept® Wound Disinfectant in large quantities and do not allow it to enter the bloodstream, e.g. through accidental injection. Avoid using octenisept® Wound Disinfectant in the eye. In the event of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

BODE Sterillium Hand disinfectant
Sterillium hand disinfectant is ideally suited for hygienic and surgical disinfection. The disinfectant is simply rubbed into the hands. This means hygienically disinfected hands can be ensured independently of a washbasin and water. Sterillium hand disinfectant is used in all hygiene-relevant areas in healthcare and industry, in home nursing care, elderly care and infant care, and in home dialysis. In addition, it helps protect against infections in public facilities and when travelling. It achieves full effectiveness against bacteria, fungi and enveloped viruses with a contact time of 1.5 minutes. This means the hands are surgically disinfected. Even with continuous use, Sterillium is particularly skin-friendly. Please note that the disinfectant is not suitable for mucous membranes, eyes or open wounds. Sterillium must not be used in newborns and premature infants. Only use electrical devices after the product has dried. Do not bring into contact with open flames. Do not use near sources of ignition. Flash point 23 °C, flammable. When used as intended, no fire or explosion hazard is to be expected. After spillage of the disinfectant, the following measures must be taken: immediately absorb the liquid, dilute with plenty of water, ventilate the room and remove sources of ignition. Do not smoke. In the event of fire, extinguish with water, dry powder, foam or CO2. Any decanting may only be carried out under aseptic conditions (laminar flow cabinet).
