Leg positioning splint

Based on the so-called Volkmann, Schweizer or Kehl splint design. Open design, improved model, made of grey foam, without cover. For extended leg positioning, immobilisation and fixation after operations, inflammation and fractures. The padded footbed prevents so-called equinus foot (plantarflexion) contracture.

Double-action air pump
Double-action hand pump with angled nozzle for Dr. Winkler air cushions.

Description

A very powerful, easy-to-hold double-action air pump in which both the pull and the push of the piston pump air into the air chamber. The angled nozzle fits perfectly into the 5 mm Ø air valves of Dr. Winkler air cushions. Size approx. 29 cm long, 5.5 cm Ø.

Use the inflatable bed wedge cushion to elevate the head and upper body. The air-filled cushion is lightweight and provides pleasant pressure relief. When deflated, the inflatable bed wedge cushion can be folded up small and is easy to take with you when travelling.

The Dr. Winkler head wedge consists of 2 parts: the inflatable inner section and a matching hand-sewn cover made from 100% white cotton fabric with a long zip.
The inflatable inner section has an air valve with a diameter of 5 mm. To inflate it, use a standard hand pump with a narrow nozzle, or you can purchase the Dr. Winkler double-action air pump, item no. 900, with an angled nozzle.
We use air valves with free flow, allowing quick inflation and deflation.
The inflatable inner section is made of a soft white film with a textile embossing, easy to clean and very hygienic.
The fabric cover is machine-washable at 60°C.
The height and firmness of the head wedge can be adjusted individually.

An inflatable bed wedge pillow for elevating the head and upper body. The inflatable pillow is lightweight and provides pleasant pressure relief. The arm positioning cushion consists of a shape-retaining inflatable inner section, a quilted fleece cover and a white cotton outer cover. It extends from the armpit to a grip roll for the hand. For use, press the rounded part of the cushion into the armpit; the arm rests gently supported on the inflated arm splint, and the wide end of the arm support provides a grip roll to hold on to.

Size 70 x 28 x 8 cm.

The inflatable cushion with a dark blue or white fabric cover is suitable for many applications and is universally used in care settings. The inflatable square Dr. Winkler donut cushion is often used as an aid in physiotherapy and care. It is an inflatable cushion measuring 40 × 40 cm with a hole in the centre.

It can be used as a pillow: the head is comfortably kept centred and the neck is softly supported. The donut cushion offers many possibilities, also as a support cushion, positioning cushion, and spacer to separate the inner ankles or knees from each other.

The inflatable cushion for stepped positioning – this exercise can noticeably relieve the lumbar spine.
6 square air chambers are enclosed in a frame cover made of white cotton fabric. The grooves between the air chambers are very suitable for separating the knee and ankle. A particular advantage of the multi-part stepped support is that you can adjust the height and firmness of the cushion individually. When deflated, the stepped support can be folded down to a compact size. An air pump is included.
