ARDAP Spot-On for Cats: 3 tubes
ARDAP Spot-On with the active ingredient Chrysanthemum (natural pyrethrum) from the chrysanthemum is a highly effective product for external use in cats. The spot-on provides reliable protection against ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus) and fleas (Ctenocephalides felis, Ctenocephalides canis) for up to 4 weeks. The active ingredient Chrysanthemum is obtained from the chrysanthemum plant. The mode of action of Chrysanthemum is deterrence, also known as a repellent effect against pest insects. This principle of action also forms the basis of ARDAP Spot-On against ticks and fleas. Alternatively, we recommend the ARDAP tick and flea protection collar.
Directions for use:
For the prevention of tick infestation (castor bean tick/common tick (Ixodes ricinus) and brown dog tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus)) and flea infestation (Ctenocephalides felis, Ctenocephalides canis). A single application prevents infestation with ticks and fleas for up to 4 weeks. ARDAP Spot-On is a light, clear solution for application to the skin of cats. The dosage corresponds to the weight information on the packaging. The entire contents of the tube are applied. To do this, part the fur and drip the amount to be administered directly onto the skin in the neck area (see illustration). Ensure that the tube contents are applied to the neck in such a way that the cat cannot lick them off. The treatment may be repeated after two weeks if the active ingredient has been washed off by the cat. In multi-pet households, the animals should be separated after application until the product has dried to prevent them from grooming each other. Do not use in cats under three months of age. Do not use in sick or convalescent animals. Cats with skin lesions, especially at the intended application site, should be excluded from treatment.

Important information:
When administering this product, please ensure that the contents of the tube do not get into the mouth or eyes of the animal being treated. In multi-pet households, the animals should also be separated from one another until the product has dried so that they do not lick each other. Treated dogs must be kept away from bodies of water for 2 days and should not bathe in them.
Possible side effects:
The spot-on has a bitter taste. Therefore, intensive grooming by the cat and licking immediately after applying the solution may cause salivation. This is not a sign of poisoning and subsides after a few minutes without further treatment. If, during intensive grooming directly after application, the cat licks the product off, in very rare cases (exceptional cases, defined as fewer than 1 in 10,000 cats) restlessness, lethargy, tremors or other neurological symptoms may occur as a reaction to Chrysanthemum or the solvents. These symptoms are temporary (transient) and usually disappear after 24–48 hours. In very rare cases (fewer than 1 in 10,000 cats), a skin reaction may occur at the application site, such as temporary hair loss, redness, itching or inflammatory reactions. Special precautions for the user:
Chrysanthemum and the solvents can, in very rare cases, cause skin sensitivity or temporary skin reactions such as irritation or tingling of the skin. Do not eat, drink or smoke during application and avoid contact with the eyes and the oral mucosa. If the user’s skin becomes contaminated, wash with soap and water. Wash hands thoroughly after use. The cat should not be stroked after application, especially in the neck area, until the treated area has dried. If the contents of the tube are accidentally swallowed, seek medical advice immediately. The solvent in ARDAP Spot-On can attack certain materials such as leather, fabrics, plastics and polished surfaces. The application site should be dry before contact with such materials. In case of hypersensitivity to the solvent, short-term allergic reactions may occur in isolated cases. Flammable liquid and vapour. Causes serious eye irritation. Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. If medical advice is needed, have packaging or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Absorb spillage. Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/national/international regulations.
Storage:
Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Avoid release to the environment. Do not store above 25°C.
