Drenching set with hand pump and 1.90 m oesophageal tube
The drenching fluid is drawn in with the pump and fed via the drench tube into the cow’s rumen. “Drenching” improves the cow’s well-being and helps prevent dehydration in “empty” cows, e.g. after calving, by ensuring water intake. Approx. 50–80 litres of hand-warm water, optionally with added energy supplements or minerals (please consult your vet beforehand), are pumped into the rumen. If required, the drench tube can also be used as an oesophageal tube. To do so, the nozzle is unscrewed and, for example, a sharpened yoke 34920.230 for cutting through and removing pieces of feed from the oesophagus, or a cup 34920.040 for pushing pieces of feed down, is screwed on. The hose can remain in the tube.
