This dog jaw model of a medium-sized dog shows healthy teeth on the right side and diseased/damaged teeth on the left side. Nine conditions are illustrated: missing premolar, gingival recession, retained deciduous tooth, worn incisors, gingivitis, plaque, dental calculus (tartar), periodontitis, broken canine tooth. The jaw can be closed, opened and, for better assessment, also taken apart.

This training model depicts the left forelimb of a medium-sized dog in a lying position (sternal recumbency) and is equipped with two interchangeable sleeves – normal coat for routine blood sampling and a “shaved” area for inserting an IV catheter. The interchangeable vein system allows actual blood collection. The model is also ideal for practising bandaging and restraining/assisting. The robust, self-supporting design enables students to practise alone or in a team. Perfect for veterinary training institutions and training courses for veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants. Included are a portable storage box with an integrated infusion stand, blood powder, syringe, IV catheter and two fluid bags.

Canine Leg Vascular Access Simulator
Practise venepuncture and vascular access with our canine leg vascular access simulator. Made from high-quality, durable silicone, the canine leg is specifically designed for blood collection and insertion of a 22-gauge or smaller catheter. Our simulated cephalic vein is softer than conventional latex tubing to further enhance realism and effectiveness. This model allows learners to improve their skills in placing vascular access without needing a partner or a live animal. Your Canine Leg Vascular Access Simulator includes a 1000 ml infusion bag, artificial blood powder, a skin layer, and instructions for set-up, care and use of the model.

As the feline counterpart to the training dog Jerry, Fluffy also has functional lungs and a simulated pulse. Trainees learn chest compressions on cats and mouth-to-snout ventilation. The model is also suitable for practising splinting and bandaging. The parts can be cleaned or replaced.

Accessories include a carry bag and 5 disposable lungs. Face covers for group training are available separately.

Gynaecological training dog Bella
Gynaecological procedures in the bitch are among the basic skills in small animal practice. “Bella” enables training under lifelike conditions, from birth through to endoscopic insemination. With her highly detailed genital tract, “Bella” offers a lifelike representation of the bitch. A gynaecological examination can be performed on the integrated uterus using a speculum or endoscope. Artificial insemination can also be practised using a balloon catheter or endoscopic insemination. The uterus features a detailed mucosa with secondary folds, a dorsomedian fold and cervix. Blood sampling from the V. cephalica for hormone determination as part of ovulation timing can be practised on the integrated venous pad. The dorsal access flap allows the anatomical position of the reproductive tract in the pelvis, as well as the kidneys, to be examined. The uterus, venous pad and internal organs can be removed and replaced, if required, in just a few simple steps.

This model of a stallion’s hoof was derived from CT and MRI data, is anatomically accurate and life-size. Manufactured using full-colour 3D printing, each anatomical structure is shown in a different colour. The hoof capsule is available separately and can be attached to the standing limb. Four models are available: from the complete anatomy, composed of 25 coloured structures, through to progressively reduced models in which deeper structures are visible.

The large, narrow horse skull has long, broad, tapering nasal bones. At the front of the mouth are large incisors, made for cutting grass. At the back of the mouth there are six large, rectangular molars on each side of the upper and lower jaw. The area between the incisors and the cheek teeth is called the diastema. In this gap sits a canine tooth (stallion tooth, not present in all horses). The eye sockets are located far back on the skull, typical of grazing animals. The cranial cavity is small. The original specimen for this replica was a large retired police horse. The skull is in two parts (separate skull and lower jaw).

This two-layer muscle pad allows realistic training of intramuscular injections in small animals. The lifelike skin surface simulates the soft skin of a dog or cat in texture and feel. Small injection volumes can be administered into the pad, allowing different injection angles and depths to be practised. The skin-like surface closes again after injection and enables multiple injections.

The trainer includes a holder with suction cups to ensure a secure grip on the table.

Animals, too, have nerve cells that signal pain or discomfort, and receiving an injection from a trained medical professional makes a big difference for pets as well. Now you can practise and become more skilled at injecting with the improved subcutaneous and intramuscular injection pad. Gaining hands-on experience may help to refine motor clinical skills, but ideally it is about providing better emergency care to an injured animal. This trainer includes an even more realistic pad that simulates dog skin and muscle tissue and has a hard plastic base.

This realistic training manikin is ideal for practising the procedure and techniques of endotracheal intubation.
The tongue is flexible. The teeth are made of hard plastic, so a mouth gag can also be used.
The epiglottis and soft palate are present.
The dog’s head is mounted on a stand. The stand is designed to allow intubation in both an upright and a supine (on the back) position.
The stand also provides confirmation of success when the intubation is performed correctly.
A clamp included in the scope of delivery ensures a stable hold.

With our i.v. injection leg (front leg), the correct procedure for an intravenous injection can be practised.
The paw has artificial fur that can be clipped with clippers. By turning the fur, several clipping procedures are possible.
The cephalic vein can be palpated and cannulated.
Placing a peripheral intravenous catheter (PIVC) is possible without any problems.
The paw is supplied with a replacement fur and an additional venous tube.

This model is designed simply for learning the correct insertion of an endotracheal tube. The endotracheal tube either enters the trachea correctly or, incorrectly, the oesophagus.

Improved representations of the trachea, oesophagus and epiglottis are realistically modelled in this dog’s head. The model also includes an airway with functional lungs. As the head is mounted on a table clamp with an articulated joint, it can be positioned easily.

The special feature of this breathing and heart sound simulator (AHS) is that learners can auscultate and thus hear the different sounds with a stethoscope. The instructor can choose from various auscultation findings for teaching. The simulator uses plug-in modules compiled from findings from real patients. Five loudspeakers are installed directly in the AHS training manikin Goldie. Also built in are two lights that illuminate during expiration. The simulator is powered by a 9V battery.

The breath sounds module offers:

Tracheal, vesicular and broncho-vesicular breathing, wheezing, monophonic wheezing, pleural friction rub, stridor, amphoric breathing, crackles, pulmonary oedema and puppy breathing.

Often, in cases of life-threatening obstruction of the upper airways—especially in a non-clinical setting—performing a tracheotomy can ensure the dog’s survival. Based on countless enquiries from military and emergency customers, we are pleased to introduce the Louie Tracheotomy Model. A cricothyrotomy can also be performed on the model. Incisions can be made through the skin layers, into the cricothyroid ligament, and between the tracheal rings.

Louie is supplied with three replaceable tracheas and skins, and an artificial lung. Incisions and suturing can be performed on the skins and on the trachea. Additional skins and tracheas can be ordered separately. The model does not include artificial blood.
