Infusion & Injection

The term infusion refers to the permanent administration of larger amounts of fluid into the organism. Often this is done intravenously directly into the blood after surgical treatment, but sometimes directly into the organs and tissues. In medicine, injection is again a short-term administration of dissolved or suspended drugs into the organism. This can be divided into several types. This subcutaneous injection, intramuscular injection and intravenous injection. Without the right cannula, the drug injection is not possible. At Meddax24 you will find all the accessories in our online store that you need in the doctor's office and in the clinic for an injection, blood sampling and an infusion: For example, you can buy syringes and cannulas, infusion devices and injection cannulas here - easily and conveniently with a click.

MedCaptain NAVI-60 Vein-Navi Infrared vein finder
The portable NAVI-60 vein finder works contact-free and gently using NIR technology (near-infrared light). The device supports medical staff in vein localisation in addition to visual assessment and palpation.

The MedCaptain vein finder makes the course of superficial veins visible in real time using NIR infrared light. The projection onto the skin surface maps the venous network precisely and also provides indications of vein depth. At the press of a button, the vein projection can be displayed in colour or inverted. The VeinNavi NAVI-60 can be used across many medical specialties as an aid for venepuncture. Whether in infusion therapy, paediatrics, vascular surgery or oncology, the VeinNavi-60 makes it easier to find the right site for puncture, injection or blood sampling.

Thanks to the high-resolution display, occluded or bleeding veins as well as narrowings and curves become more visible. Optical distortions are reduced by the NAVI-60 technology to show vein distribution more accurately. In depth mode, the position of the vein is displayed on the skin surface using green bars. A single light bar corresponds to a depth of approx. 0 to 2 mm, two bars to a depth of 2 to 4 mm.

VeinNavi can be used in studies and training programmes to illustrate the course of veins, as well as in difficult clinical situations. In particular, when veins are difficult to palpate or very small—for example under an infant’s “baby fat”—or when venous access is limited by medication and infusions, the VeinNavi-60 delivers fast, reliable results and provides reassurance for patients and healthcare professionals.

SARSTEDT S-Monovettes 2 ml, 66 x 11 mm, BSG, standard pressure, sterile
With the S-Monovette® you can choose between aspiration or vacuum technique. The S-Monovette® blood collection system gives you complete freedom in selecting the sampling method. You can collect blood using the aspiration or vacuum principle, or combine the advantages of both techniques. For multiple sampling, venepuncture and the initial blood draw can be performed with the needle attached using the aspiration technique. Thanks to the high transparency of the screw cap, you benefit from very good puncture control. The S-Monovettes can then, if the venous conditions allow, be filled using the vacuum principle. The needle remains in the vein while changing the S-Monovettes, enabling drip-free multiple sampling.

Combination options: For blood collection from Luer connections, the S-Monovette® can be combined with the Multi-Adapter. For blood collection with a winged needle, the Multifly® needle with completed adapter is available and can be connected directly to the S-Monovette®.

Citrate serves as an anticoagulant for performing the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) test and is pre-dosed as a 0.106 molar solution. When the S-Monovettes or sample tubes are filled completely, the specified mixing ratio of 1:5 (1 part citrate solution + 4 parts blood) is maintained exactly.

The citrate plasma obtained is suitable for all coagulation tests.
