AMBU Mark IV with single-membrane patient valve without mask
The AMBU Mark IV is suitable for manual ventilation of adults and children weighing 15 kg or more (approx. 3 years). In combination with Mask 0 with bore, the Ambu Mark IV is also approved for children from 15 kg body weight. The double-chamber principle (inner body with elastic outer shell) allows the user to feel the ventilation pressure, making ventilation safer. Thanks to this integrated pressure limitation, the user can easily and safely recognise whether the airways are clear. The integrated hand strap makes the bag easier to grip and ensures it sits optimally in the hand – even with smaller hands.

With this device, room air is drawn in, oxygen is filtered out, concentrated and then delivered back to the patient via a nasal cannula/oxygen glasses. The device is fitted with a humidifier bottle through which the oxygen is passed so that the nasal mucosa does not dry out too much. This must always be filled with sufficient distilled water. The bottle should be rinsed out at least once a week with vinegar water or similar.
