- The proven TEPRO® is shaped like the most commonly used Macintosh blade. What makes it special, however, is the tapering in the blade section close to the handle. This recess increases the manoeuvrability and ease of handling of the blade during intubation. Despite the protection of the front teeth provided by the narrowing of the proximal blade, the tongue can be displaced upwards to the side as in a normal intubation with a conventional Macintosh blade. With this device, room air is drawn in, oxygen is filtered out, concentrated and then delivered back to the patient via a nasal cannula/oxygen glasses.
