<p>Fresubin 2kcal Drinks are oral nutritional supplements with a high energy density (400 kcal per EasyDrink – 2.0 kcal/ml).
Fresubin 2kcal Drinks offer a balanced fatty acid profile for the cardiovascular system, blood vessels and the immune system.
An adequate supply of vitamins and trace elements is ensured from 3 EasyDrinks daily.
In the single-flavour cartons you receive 24 EasyDrinks of the desired flavour; to try all 6 flavours, we also offer the mixed carton with 4 EasyDrinks of each of the 6 flavours – only the neutral variant is not included in the mixed carton.</p>
<p><b>Product features:</b>

<p><b>Dosage:</b>
- Average daily dose for supplementary nutrition: 1–2 EasyDrinks
- Average daily dose for exclusive nutrition: 4–5 EasyDrinks</p>
<p><b>Storage</b>
- Optimal storage conditions at room temperature (15°C to 25°C).
- Refrigerated storage (up to 4°C) for over 3 months is possible without loss of quality; however, Fresubin 2kcal Drink Chocolate should not be stored below 15°C.
- Storage at higher temperatures (up to 40°C) is possible for up to 1 month. Storage at higher temperatures (up to 40°C) generally causes faster and greater creaming, a more pronounced decrease in pH, a darker colour and accelerated vitamin degradation.
- Opened containers keep in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.</p>
<p><b>Indications:</b>
Enteral nutrition is generally indicated in cases of absent or reduced ability to consume sufficient normal food, especially in:
- Increased energy and nutrient requirements
- Catabolic diseases
- Impaired wound healing
- Fluid restriction (e.g. in renal insufficiency during dialysis)
- Loss of appetite
- Convalescence
- Chronic inflammatory bowel diseases</p>
<p><b>Contraindications:</b>
- General contraindications to enteral nutrition such as intestinal atony, ileus, acute gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Not suitable in cases of severe malabsorption.
- Relative contraindication in hepatic insufficiency, renal insufficiency, acute pancreatitis depending on the patient’s condition.
- Not suitable in congenital metabolic disorders or intolerance to an ingredient contained in Fresubin 2kcal Drink or Fresubin 2kcal fibre Drink.
- In severe organ failure such as severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, Fresubin 2kcal Drink or Fresubin 2kcal fibre Drink should be used with caution depending on the patient’s nitrogen tolerance.
- Not suitable for children under 1 year.</p>
