For the manual cleaning and disinfection of thermostable and thermolabile instruments of all kinds (except flexible endoscopes). Thanks to its excellent
cleaning performance – especially in the ultrasonic bath – and its comprehensive microbiological efficacy, gigasept®
instru AF offers all the important product properties for instrument reprocessing in hospitals and medical practices.

Instructions for use:

gigasept® instru AF is a concentrate and is diluted with cold water to the required application concentration.

Dosage: Depending on the required level of efficacy, 1.5% – 4%.

Example of use: 1 litre of a 3% ready-to-use solution corresponds to 970 ml water and 30 ml gigasept® instru AF. Place endoscopes and instruments to be reprocessed immediately after
use in the gigasept® instru AF solution. Ensure complete wetting, including for hollow instruments, and allow to act. After cleaning, rinse/flush the instruments thoroughly with water of at least
drinking-water quality, preferably with sterile aqua dest. or fully demineralised water, to completely remove residues
of the cleaning solution.
Do not exceed the stated contact times and concentrations. Please observe the reprocessing recommendations of the instrument manufacturers. In accordance with the KRINKO/
BfArM recommendation, cleaning and disinfection must be carried out in separate work steps. Not suitable for final disinfection of semi-critical and critical medical devices!


In-use life: An in-use life of 7 days applies if the ready-to-use solution is used exclusively for disinfecting previously cleaned instruments
. If the ready-to-use solution is used for cleaning, it must be replaced daily and whenever there is clearly visible contamination.

Ultrasonic cleaning: gigasept® instru AF is particularly suitable for use in ultrasonic devices. The chemical stability of the product is ensured. Studies have shown that with
gigasept® instru AF, very good cleaning can be achieved after just a few seconds. Corresponding reports
can be requested from us. Do not heat the ready-to-use solution above 40 °C.
