Anti-decubitus system with ventilated alternating pressure overlay for Stage II (according to Seiler)
In a 6-minute cycle, 50% of the overlay surface is inflated with air while the other half is deflated. This alternating pressure mattress with large, replaceable air cells offers additional comfort: air continuously escapes through micro-openings from 8 of the 18 cells to optimise the bed climate. Medi-FLow can be fitted with a stretchable, blue waterproof cover made of air-permeable nylon (removable and washable up to 60 °C). Simply unbutton and put in the washing machine for cleaning. The inflation pressure of the automatically inflating and deflating cells can be adjusted to the optimal level depending on the patient’s body weight. The cushions from shoulder height down to the hips are ventilated, ensuring maximum lying comfort, especially in the sacral area.
