This moulage shows the sacral area with a pressure ulcer in an untreated condition. The tissue has died due to prolonged pressure and necrotic tissue is visible. The actual extent of the necrosis cannot be determined and requires surgical treatment. The moulage adheres independently to simulation patients or mannequins, but for longer training sessions it can also be secured with special skin adhesive. The anal cleft is included to demonstrate the difficulties involved in dressing.
