Gynaecological training dog Bella
Gynaecological procedures in the bitch are among the basic skills in small animal practice. “Bella” enables training under realistic conditions, from whelping to endoscopic insemination. With her true-to-detail genital tract, “Bella” offers a lifelike representation of a bitch. A gynaecological examination using a speculum or endoscope can be performed on the integrated uterus. Artificial insemination can also be practised using a balloon catheter or via endoscopic insemination. The uterus has a detailed mucosa with secondary folding, a dorsal median fold and cervix. Blood sampling from the cephalic vein (V. cephalica) for hormone analysis as part of ovulation timing can be trained on the integrated venous pad. The back flap allows the anatomical position of the reproductive tract in the pelvis as well as the kidneys to be visualised. The uterus, venous pad and internal organs can
be removed and replaced, if required, with just a few simple steps.
