The BLAST™ Bandage was developed to cover wounds such as amputations, burns or extensive injuries as quickly as possible. Although when packaged it is only about the size of a bandage approx. 10 cm wide, it can be used to cover injuries of around 50 x 50 cm. The non-adherent wound pad can simply be wrapped around, for example, the abdomen and secured with the elastic bandage, providing extensive protection for, for example, shrapnel or burn wounds. Due to the size of the BLAST™ Bandage, almost the entire chest or the entire back can be covered.
In addition, the BLAST™ Bandage offers a removable occlusive layer measuring 47.5 x 47.5 cm, which can be used to protect abdominal injuries in order to minimise loss of heat and fluids. Each bandage is individually sterile and vacuum packed.

Control Wrap

With the help of Control Wrap bandages, you can dress a wound efficiently and quickly. The integrated hook-and-loop strips ensure that the bandage neither slips nor unintentionally comes loose or unrolls. This reduces the risk of contaminating a clean bandage, the time lost by applying an additional bandage, and the loss of pressure on the wound caused by subsequent fixation.

At a 6-minute cycle, 50% of the overlay surface is inflated with air while the other half is deflated. This alternating-pressure mattress with large, replaceable air cells provides added comfort: air is continuously released through micro-perforations from 8 of the 18 cells to optimise the bed microclimate. The inflation pressure of the automatically inflating and deflating cells can be adjusted to the optimal level depending on the patient’s body weight.
