Chitogauze XR Pro is as soft as toilet paper, yet extremely tear-resistant and does not become soggy. This makes it easy to apply the material directly to the bleeding site and pack it into the wound. The active ingredient chitosan ensures effective haemostasis after just 2–3 minutes of pressure on the bleeding site. This is particularly important in areas where conventional haemostatic measures such as a tourniquet or pressure dressing are not possible for obvious reasons.
