Coniotomy places high demands on the skills of the practitioner and, with insufficient practice, can have serious consequences for patients. Crico Chris enables regular training of lifelike coniotomies without risk. This handy trainer features a larynx with replaceable conic ligament (Ligamentum conicum) and skin. Both the skin and the Lig. conicum are designed so that they can be rotated step by step through 360°, allowing a wide range of exercises until replacement is required. A special feature of Crico Chris is the blood-filled pouch placed between the skin and the ligament; when the incision is made, blood escapes and makes subsequent work more difficult.
