Objective drug monitoring in a urine cup. Indicates either a 5- or 8-panel drug combination, or can be customised for up to 12 drugs.

Handling:

The patient provides the urine sample into the screw-top container. The “key” located in the lid remains in the laboratory. Only in the laboratory is the valve opened using the pressing key, and the test strips react. The protective film on the container is removed and any drug residues are indicated. To make tampering – e.g. by adding water – more difficult, the filling temperature of the provided urine can be checked using the integrated thermometer. Each test cup is individually sealed.

Read-out after 3–5 minutes.

Even a small amount of protein excretion in urine (microalbuminuria) can be of great importance for your health. This is particularly true if you have diabetes or suffer from high blood pressure. It is often the only indication of impaired kidney function. If kidney disease is detected and treated early, kidney function can be preserved for much longer. Microalbuminuria may also be an early warning sign of a possible heart attack. Therefore, if you have diabetes or high blood pressure, you should have your urine tested for albumin and microalbuminuria at least once a year; otherwise, every two years.
