Fit-Crock Basic Beef Maxi is our premium feed in the usual cdVet quality with a moderate protein content. It is therefore also ideally suited as a dry supplement for partial BARF feeding or for a BARF break. The animal proteins come exclusively from cattle from species-appropriate pasture farming and sea fish.

Also ideal for weight reduction in overweight dogs, for controlled protein reduction in dogs with liver and kidney disease, and for sensitive dogs with stomach and intestinal problems.

Together with vitamin-rich carrots and maize germs as a high-quality source of fatty acids (linoleic acid), this results in a balanced meal which – as always with cdVet – is complemented and rounded off with herbs. Why you should feed your dog Fit-CROCK Classic Lamb Maxi: The cold-pressed food breaks down into its components in the stomach, so the stomach is not overstretched (it does not swell up!). As the food has to be digested intensively, intestinal peristalsis is supported and natural intestinal cleansing is promoted. Spray suspension against ticks

ZeckEx is a highly effective tick repellent spray with long-lasting action. The ticks are prevented from biting due to its scent, without synthetic additives. This can reduce the risk of a tick bite when walking the dog or when the cat is outdoors.

The reliable protection based on Eucalyptus citriodora leaves keeps ticks away. This active substance contained in the spray, derived from the leaves of lemon eucalyptus, adheres to the skin and coat of the treated animal. The repellent active ingredient has an odour that is unattractive to ticks and successfully prevents parasite infestation.

It is almost impossible to cover the essential salt requirement through normal feeding, as grass, hay and cereals contain hardly any salt. Higher temperatures, exercise or even sweating lead to a considerable increased need.
Salts regulate fluid balance, are essential for the nervous, enzyme and metabolic systems and help to regulate the acid–base balance. Deficiencies can lead to weakness, listlessness, muscle wasting and even severe digestive disorders. Therefore, a salt lick should be available for all grazing animals.

Regular intake of bitter and tannin compounds is often greatly underestimated in animal nutrition. Wild counterparts ingest these instinctively to effectively support their gut flora (gut microbiome) and thus their immune system. MilbenEx Ear Cleaner is a blend of essential oils to repel ear mites and to cleanse, care for and soothe irritated and sensitive outer ear canals in dogs, cats and other pets.

Ear mites are an unpleasant problem for our pets. The mites like to settle in the outer ear canal and the inner pinna. An infestation can often be recognised by severe itching. Animals frequently shake their heads and may even scratch until they bleed. In addition, large amounts of reddish-brown to black earwax can form. If the mites are not repelled in time, bacterial secondary infections may occur. MilbenEx Ear Cleaner repels these pests without unnecessarily burdening the body with synthetic toxins.

Product information "MortellaroVet ProBiotic"
MortellaroVet ProBiotic is designed for the care- and hygiene-related reduction of hoof problems promoted by putrefaction, such as Mortellaro.

Mortellaro and other problems caused by putrefaction are promoted by an unhealthy, decaying stable microflora. MortellaroVet ProBiotic strengthens the aerobic microbial flora, which naturally makes putrefaction more difficult or displaces it. As a result, the hoof bath provides the claws/hooves with an environment that reduces and helps prevent care- and hygiene-related causes of stress.

Putrefactive germs and pathogens can generally be displaced by a healthy stable and skin flora.

Mortellaro in cows
In cows in free-stall housing, Mortellaro is often a major health problem and thus soon a financial problem for the owner.

What are the main causes:
1. Moisture in the barn leads to rotting manure and slurry. Slurry decomposes anaerobically and is an ideal breeding ground for putrefactive germs, which can become a problem especially on damp and macerated areas of skin.
2. Metabolic overload in cows also leads to cows trying to detoxify via the skin. This produces cheese-like secretions. These secretions are an ideal nutrient medium for putrefactive bacteria. If the affected areas of skin are not cared for sufficiently, inflammation quickly develops, which can spread through the barn like an epidemic.
The causes of such occurrences are therefore primarily inadequate care and incorrect feeding and housing conditions.

How can cdVet help:
1. With care using Klauen-Gel.
Klauen-Gel binds moisture and forms an oxygen-permeable dressing that dries the skin, massively relieves the skin to support healthy natural regeneration, and at the same time prevents re-soiling of the affected areas. Klauen-Gel is therefore a product for individual animal care that has been almost indispensable in the hoof sector for more than 14 years.
2. MortellaroVet ProBiotic is a further development based on fermented herbs, which have a strong germ-displacing effect and thus create natural competition for harmful germs. The product is almost identical to cdSept and is already used for this purpose in dairy barns. Experience shows that use in the hoof bath is helpful for a healthy hoof and stable flora.
It is important to ensure that there are no residues of chemical products in the hoof bath, otherwise the effect of MortellaroVet ProBiotic will be limited. Therefore, use in a new hoof bath tray is recommended.
The otherwise typical problem of contamination by faeces in hoof bath trays is rather unproblematic when using MortellaroVet ProBiotic. The organic inputs in the hoof bath, through the use of MortellaroVet ProBiotic, themselves become a medium for beneficial germs and are thus able to displace existing harmful germs.
For treating the walking surfaces, HuminoVet powder should occasionally be spread. HuminoVet initiates the natural composting process, which helps to prevent floating layers in the slurry and at the same time strongly displaces putrefactive and thus pathogenic germs as well as putrefactive germs that promote Mortellaro.
From a nutritional point of view, the metabolism can be significantly relieved with MicroAgrar MK. The cost-effectiveness of MicroAgrar MK is already achieved simply by promoting feed utilisation and thus the utilisation of basic forage.

Propolis is a bee product. It is used as a building material for the beehive. Plant resins are the basic material from which the so-called propolis resin is formed. It consists of many different substances. These include, for example, vitamins, amino acids, fatty acids, trace elements and flavonoids.

Although our animals are constantly in contact with bacteria, viruses and fungi, they normally stay healthy. To achieve this, the immune system is always on alert. Pathogens that enter the body are identified and destroyed. However, stress, environmental influences and the natural ageing process weaken the immune system and therefore the body’s own defences. Pathogens then have an easy time, and our animals become ill. The valuable ingredients in propolis can effectively support the immune system in its work.

Flavonoids

Propolis is particularly rich in flavonoids. Flavonoids are natural plant active substances and strengthen the immune system. They also act as “free-radical scavengers”. Free radicals are highly aggressive and can cause lasting damage to cells. Flavonoids protect the cells from attacks by free radicals and keep the body young. And the younger the body is, the better the immune system functions.

But it is not only the flavonoids that make up the positive effect of propolis. Propolis contains a wide range of nutrients that the body needs. Vitamins are involved in a wide variety of biochemical reactions in the body; they influence metabolism, strengthen the body and have a beneficial effect on the nervous system. In addition, propolis is rich in valuable minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, calcium, silicon, zinc and iron, to name just a few. Alongside the flavonoids, they not only further support the immune system, but are also required by the body for many metabolic processes. Organic black cumin sticks can contribute to a positive change in the intestinal environment when fed.

This change in the intestinal environment deprives bacteria and fungi of their nutritional basis and can make it more difficult for them to colonise the gastrointestinal tract; the physiological intestinal flora is strengthened.

These positive feeding properties of the sticks are based, among other things, on the carvone contained in the essential oil.
