Human Models

This model shows the muscles of the head, neck and upper thorax. The superficial and deep musculature are clearly displayed, as are the courses of the subclavian artery and the carotid artery.

The item is designed life-size. The brain can be removed separately and is divided into the left and right hemispheres. It provides a detailed representation of the anatomy of the neck, including the superficial structures of the neck, the anterior cervical region and the sternocleidomastoid region, the lateral cervical region, the root of the neck, the cervical fascia and the fascial spaces. Building on this, the anatomy of the brain and face is shown, and the relationships between the head, face and neck are described in greater detail.

This head cover can be easily pulled over the head of the Standard or Basic nursing manikin, Clinical Chloe or Advanced Clinical Chloe, transforming the standard nursing manikin into a manikin with a geriatric appearance. The soft skin looks lifelike and feels realistic. The mouth, nose, ears and tracheostomy opening remain accessible, ensuring the manikin’s functions are fully retained. The mask features a zip at the back of the head, allowing it to be fitted and removed easily.

Heart model, 2-part with cardiac conduction system
The front wall of this heart model can be removed, providing a view of the internal structures. All key structures such as the atria, ventricles, and the aortic, mitral, pulmonary and tricuspid valves are shown. Heart muscle, adipose tissue, arteries and veins are detailed and hand-painted; the cardiac conduction system is shown in colour. The model is made from unbreakable plastic and is mounted on a base, removable from the base.

Haemorrhoid model, 2x size
This illustrative model for patient education shows, at 2x size, a frontal section through the rectum. The base also features a slightly reduced relief illustration. The model shows haemorrhoids in stages I and II. The additional relief model shows haemorrhoids in stages III and IV. The anatomical structures of the rectum, such as the sphincter muscles, mucosa and venous vascular plexus, are also visible.

Hip Implant Model
This highly illustrative model includes three reduced-scale hip models. In addition to a healthy hip, the model shows a diseased hip as well as a hip with an implant. Injection Arm for R10052
This well-known i.v. injection arm is available in a version that can be attached to the right shoulder joint of model R10052. It features realistic PVC skin and latex veins, so that the skin actually creases when the vein is palpated, and when the needle enters the vein, the characteristic “pop” can be felt. With correct insertion, there is realistic flashback. The arm can be rotated at the elbow, allowing easy access to the antecubital fossa, forearm and back of the hand. A bony landmark at the shoulder helps identify muscle tissue for intramuscular injections.

Injection Abdomen
This soft abdominal replica is an invaluable aid for explaining to patients the correct injection technique and rotation of the injection site while avoiding the 5 cm area around the navel, as well as for practising self-injection with a wide range of syringe types, including pen-type injectors. The trainer has lifelike skin that feels as if real abdominal tissue lies underneath. The model has a soft plastic back to prevent needles from passing through, as well as holes that allow air circulation and drying if you wish to inject liquid. You can inject distilled water; however, the more you inject, the longer the model will take to dry. Real insulin should not be used, as this could damage the plastics. The injection abdomen is designed as a consumable item; with proper care and handling, it can be used for a long time. Using the smallest possible needle and rotating the injection site significantly extends the service life of the model.

IV injection trainer for strapping on
Bring more realism to your simulated patient training. With this strap-on IV cannulation pad, it is possible to practise venepuncture on the arm or leg in direct interaction with the simulated patient, without any risk of actual injury. The replaceable pad contains two replaceable veins, which can be discreetly connected via a tubing system to a pressure infusion bag. The set includes the holder, one pad, the tubing line and an elastic strap for securing the infusion bag. A bottle of washable artificial blood is also included.

Knee joint, extended
This 3D-printed specimen shows the ligaments of the knee joint with the leg extended; it is the same specimen as the knee joint MP1800 in the flexed position. The tibial collateral ligament and the fibular collateral ligament are intact.

Knee model with endoprosthesis
This life-size knee model made of transparent plastic clearly demonstrates the position and function of a knee endoprosthesis. The replica prosthesis can be removed from the model and reinserted, allowing the procedure to be explained very clearly to the patient during consultation and pre-operative preparation. The endoprosthesis is made of metal and is approximately the same size and weight as a real prosthesis. Thanks to the transparent bone design, the position and function of the prosthesis can be seen very clearly.
