“Press and inhale at the same time” could be the shortened instructions for using a spray inhaler. However, for many patients – especially children and older adults – it is not quite that simple. They often have difficulty actuating the inhaler and inhaling at the same time. This is often associated with increased deposition of medication in the mouth and throat.
The antistatic VORTEX® inhalation aid helps to overcome these disadvantages of spray inhalers. After actuating the puff, the patient has time to inhale the medication from the VORTEX®. This makes coordinating “press and inhale” much easier and makes therapy safer thanks to reliable dosing.
Thanks to the unique cyclone vortex principle, when the patient inhales the medication cloud is set into a vortex. In particular, the fine droplets are directed to the lungs, and the mouth and throat can remain largely free of unwanted medication deposits.
The VORTEX® face masks are removable and can be used flexibly. For example, as the child grows, Child Mask A can simply be replaced with Child Mask B.
The VORTEX® is dishwasher-safe, can be boiled, and for use in clinical settings can also be disinfected and sterilised.
