The Dr. Winkler Bandscheibenfreund with hand pump was developed as a variably adjustable back cushion for ergonomic support of the lumbar spine while sitting and for mobilising pressure points in the back area. The Bandscheibenfreund with hand pump features an inflatable inner cushion specially shaped for the back by Dr. Winkler.

The height and firmness of the back support are regulated by the amount of air via an attached hand pump. Lightweight and flexible. The cushion is inflated with the hand pump and deflated using the release valve.

With a permanently attached 80×5 cm strap with counterweight, the Bandscheibenfreund is hung over the backrest and positioned exactly where you find it most comfortable.

The inflatable cushion of the Bandscheibenfreund is approx. 34×20 cm and hangs centrally in the lumbar region on the chair back. Thanks to the variable positioning with the strap, you achieve the desired mobility and also a constant slight variation of the pressure points being addressed.

The air-filled cushion reduces pressure load. The air moving within the cushion while sitting naturally encourages gentle balancing movements, which mobilise the lumbar region and the back muscles.

The inflatable inner part is made from a durable, soft PU film. Please inflate only to medium firmness; this gives you a soft cushion, and the height and firmness are very easy to adjust individually.

Suitable for loads up to 150 kg body weight. The Dr. Winkler Bandscheibenfreund comes complete with a hand-sewn fabric cover made of black cotton twill, manufactured from materials certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®.

The cushion cover has a zip and can be hand washed. To remove it from the cover, the hand pump must first be detached. Due to the counterweight permanently integrated into the cover, please do not machine wash.
