This life-size brain model shows the essential anatomy of the brain with detailed colouring. The left half can be dismantled into four parts – the frontal and parietal lobe, the temporal and occipital lobe, as well as the brainstem and cerebellum. The brainstem includes the trigeminal nerve (V), abducens nerve (VI), vestibulocochlear nerve (VIII), facial and intermediate nerves (VII), trochlear nerve (IV), olfactory nerve (I), glossopharyngeal nerve (IX), vagus nerve (X), olfactory nerve (XI), ventral cervical nerve roots and hypoglossal nerve (XII). The hippocampus is attached to the brainstem to show the relationship between the hippocampus and fornix as well as the mammillary bodies in the brainstem. The choroid plexus is also shown.
