The Telaprep swab, made from gauze dressing EN 14079-VM 24b, 24-thread, with woven-in Telatrast X-ray contrast thread, offers the comprehensive safety that is essential in the operating theatre to protect the doctor and the patient.
Use:
For blunt dissection.
Characteristics:
Telaprep is manufactured from a single piece of gauze. As an additional safety feature, the Telatrast X-ray contrast thread is firmly woven in, which means there is no risk of it coming loose either as a whole or in fragments. Even if a swab left behind in the body were to unfold under extreme conditions, easy radiological localisation is always ensured thanks to the permanent bond between the contrast thread and the gauze fabric.
The barium sulphate content of the Telatrast thread is 60% and thus meets the requirements of modern X-ray technology.
The contrast effect, tensile strength and flexibility of the Telatrast thread are permanently maintained.
Telaprep is available non-sterile, in sterilizable folding cartons, and sterile. In sterile presentation, Telaprep is part of the Telatrast Module System which, with practical four-pack packaging as well as self-adhesive, separately attached double control cards, contributes to greater safety in the operating theatre.
In addition, the latest version (final digit 3) features a grid which, for a pack content of ten swabs, provides for two swabs per grid compartment. This enables easier handling of the Telaprep swabs and faster counting as additional support in the operating theatre.
