Zetuvit was specially developed for the management of heavily exuding wounds. It consists of four different material layers that complement each other optimally and give the absorbent dressing its convincing properties.
Application:
For the management of heavily exuding wounds in all medical fields; for padding wounds.
Characteristics:
A particularly effective two-layer nonwoven is used for the outer covering: the wound-contact layer made of hydrophobic polyamide fibres does not absorb any fluid itself and therefore helps prevent adhesion to the wound. By contrast, the inner side of the nonwoven made of hydrophilic viscose fibres has a high capillary action, which rapidly channels secretions into the absorbent core.
Highly bleached tissue pulp distributes the secretions so that the storage capacity of the absorbent core can be better utilised.
The absorbent core made of soft cellulose fluff pulp has a high absorption capacity and a good cushioning effect.
A moisture-repellent but breathable layer of polypropylene nonwoven on the back of the dressing helps prevent strike-through of secretions and therefore also serves as protection against contamination.
Zetuvit is closed on all sides and embossed particularly softly at the ends. A blue thread marks the back of the dressing to avoid application errors.
