DR.WINKLER Elastic Anti-Snoring Band

The Dr. Winkler elastic anti-snoring chin strap was developed based on the findings that snoring is often attributable to muscle weakness and helps keep the mouth closed. Hand-sewn from black elastic cotton fabric. The elastic anti-snoring chin strap is fastened at the back of the head with a hook-and-loop fastener. The wide elastic band, which also closes with a hook-and-loop fastener and runs over the forehead and back of the head, keeps the strap securely in place and helps prevent it from slipping forwards or backwards. The aid to keep the mouth closed during sleep is also frequently used in the treatment of sleep apnoea.

Using the chin strap is recommended for patients who sleep with their mouth open and who either use mandibular advancement devices or nCPAP. For these patients, the chin strap can significantly reduce or prevent drying of the oral mucosa.
