KaWe von früher bis heute

Im April des Jahres 1890 gründeten Gustav Kirchner und Hugo Wilhelm das Unternehmen KIRCHNER & WILHELM und wurden mit Spritzen aus Metall zu einem etablierten Hersteller für Medizintechnik. Nachdem Hugo Wilhelm aufgrund seiner Gesundheit die Geschäftsführung verlassen hatte, wurde die KaWe – KIRCHNER & WILHELM GmbH & Co. KG zu einem Familienunternehmen der Familie Kirchner. Die Söhne und Enkel von Gustav Kirchner übernahmen nach und nach die Geschäftsleitung bis zum Tod von Georg Kirchner in 2006. An seine Stelle trat Regina Kirchner-Gottschalk, die bereits seit 1997 als Geschäftsführerin tätig war und bis heute an der Spitze der KaWe – KIRCHNER & WILHELM GmbH & Co. KG steht.

Otoskope

Ein Otoskop ist ein medizinisches Instrument, das verwendet wird, um ohrbezogene Erkrankungen zu diagnostizieren. Das Gerät verfügt über ein Licht und eine Lupe, die es dem Arzt ermöglichen, zu sehen, was im Ohr vor sich geht.

Die Produkte von KaWe sind auf den medizinischen Bedarf spezialisiert. Die Otoskope werden hauptsächlich von HNO-Ärzten genutzt, um den äußeren Gehörgang, einschließlich des Trommelfelles, zu untersuchen. Bei der Untersuchung dieser Membran können Ärzte verschiedene Arten von Ohrinfektionen oder andere Probleme wie ein perforiertes Trommelfell erkennen. Andere Anwendungen umfassen die Überprüfung auf Flüssigkeit hinter dem Trommelfell und das Betrachten der kleinen Haare im Gehörgang, die Cerumen genannt werden. Stethoskope

Das Stethoskop ist ein Instrument, welches zum Abhören der inneren Geräusche des Körpers verwendet wird. Ein Stethoskop wird verwendet, um Patienten zu untersuchen, Herz- und Lungengeräusche abzuhören und den Blutdruck zu überwachen. Das KaWe Schwestern Lehr Stethoskop Duo hat eine Schlauchlänge von 110 cm mit einer 43,8 mm Membran die idealen Maße für professionelle Untersuchung des Oberkörpers durch medizinisches Fachpersonal.
