Shelf life of Lifepak CR2 defibrillation electrodes
The electrodes have a shelf life of 3.5 to 4 years and are intended for single use only. Once the electrodes reach their expiry date, they must be replaced. The conductive gel layer dries out over time or if the packaging has been opened; in an emergency, electrode pads that are past their expiry date may not adhere to the patient, which means the AED will not deliver a shock.
Features:
- Can be pre-connected
- Self-adhesive
- Pacemaker detection
- Long 1.1 m cable

Physio-Control CR2 electrodes can be used for both adults and children via the child button on the AED. If you use the electrodes on a child, you should press the child button on the AED and position the electrodes on the child’s chest and back, as shown in the illustration below. Electrodes should always be placed so that they do not touch.
