Atrauman Silicone is a wound contact layer consisting of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) mesh as the carrier material, coated on both sides with silicone gel (based on polydimethylsiloxane).
This wound contact layer is intended for atraumatic wound management and is thin, soft, can be cut to size and is drapeable. Thanks to the open mesh structure, it is permeable to exudate.
It adheres gently and securely to dry surfaces, but not to moist surfaces. This helps prevent it from sticking to the wound.
