MAIMED OPSept MyClean Hand antiseptic

Die MyClean OPSept hand disinfectant from MAIMED is ideal for hygienic and surgical disinfection for sensitive skin, as it is both dye-free and low in perfume. The disinfectant is simply rubbed into the hands. This guarantees hygienically disinfected hands independently of a sink and water. MyClean OPSept hand disinfectant is used in all hygiene-relevant areas in healthcare and industry, in home nursing, elderly care and infant care, and in home dialysis. It also provides protection against infection in public facilities and when travelling. Full effectiveness against bacteria, fungi and enveloped viruses is achieved with a contact time of 3 minutes (surgical). This means the hands are surgically disinfected. Even with continuous use, OPSept is particularly skin-friendly. Please note that the disinfectant is not suitable for mucous membranes, eyes or open wounds. There is also a risk of hypersensitivity (allergy) to one of the ingredients. The disinfectant is listed by the RKI and VAH. Tested according to the standard methods of the DGHM / VAH and EN 1500 / EN 12791

Name of the medicinal product: OpSept hands antiseptic 70 ml 2-propanol and 0.1 ml butane-1,3-diol per 100 ml solution for use on the skin.
Substance or indication group, mode of action: Ready-to-use, alcoholic skin antiseptic. Bactericidal (incl. Mycobacterium tuberculosis) and fungicidal. Limited virucidal activity according to the RKI recommendation Bundesgesundheitsblatt 01-2004. The active substances 2-propanol and butane-1,3-diol act against bacteria (including mycobacteria), fungi and many viruses. The effectiveness of OpSept hands antiseptic against viruses includes enveloped viruses (classification: “limited virucidal activity”)*. *Tested against the test viruses BVDV (surrogate virus for hepatitis C virus) and vaccinia virus. According to the current state of knowledge, the results allow conclusions to be drawn regarding effectiveness against other enveloped viruses, e.g. hepatitis B virus, HIV. Indications: For hygienic and surgical hand disinfection. Contraindications: OpSept must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Do not use on mucous membranes or in the eye area. Interactions: None known. Warnings: OpSept hands antiseptic contains lanolin and fragrances which may trigger allergic reactions. Application errors and overdose: Cases of overdose are not known. Side effects: Skin irritation such as redness and slight burning, as well as contact-allergic reactions, are possible.
