Natural source of calcium for needs-based supplementation when feeding raw

Calcium intake plays a major role especially in raw feeding. This can only be achieved through sufficient bone feeding. Not every dog can or wants to eat bones, and for cats, feeding whole prey animals (mice or chicks) is not always straightforward either. Fit-BARF Eggshell Powder is a highly utilisable animal-based source of calcium for daily feeding. It helps maintain balance in raw feeding by compensating for the meat’s high phosphorus content with its natural calcium content. Due to its fine grind, the product has high bioavailability.

Composition: 100% eggshell powder

Analytical constituents and levels: Crude ash 95.9%, calcium 37.1%

Feeding recommendation: Mix into the food daily: Dogs per 10 kg: 1.5 g, cats per 4 kg: 0.3 g. 1 measuring scoop corresponds to approx. 2 g. 1 teaspoon corresponds to approx. 5.2 g.

1 g Fit-BARF Eggshell Powder contains approx. 370 mg calcium. The daily calcium requirement is approx. 50–90 mg Ca/kg body weight. Pregnant and lactating bitches as well as growing puppies require up to 180 mg Ca/kg body weight.

If you also feed bones, we recommend reducing the amount.
